Delays in Note

Here is a logos4 log file which was created to show the delays in note. Sometimes, I can type in my notes without much delays. But most of the time, I have to wait a few seconds after typing a few words to have logos4 to catch up with my typing. I closed the logos program right after there was a delay.

This is why I don't use notes in Logos at all.

This problem is a lot less appearant when you use the i7 processor. However, not everyone has these yet. The delay is very obstructive to productivity.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Though I'm not using a beta version. It seems to depend on the size of the file. Given I'm doing all my notes in L4, these files get pretty big really quick. It's really annoying when your poor at typing, and have to wait for L4 to catch up to see the inevatible typo.
I had thought if the delay was from uploading to the 'cloud', so I tried turning off the internet, but no change. Seems to be a bug the L4 people need to look at, or we all end up using core7's.

Many of us have been asking for better notes for a while but to no avail. For some reason, the notes feature in L4 is a system resource hog and only the faster systems can keep up.
Perhaps a better way to do notes would be to integrate Evernote into L4 the way it is integrated with the iPad/iPhone app. Then our notes would be synced across the platforms and we would have a fuller featured note system for L4.

This suggestion sounds promising. But of course many like being able to enter short notes associated with the Biblical text, as sort of a self created study Bible. I wouldn't want to abandon that feature and as long as it isn't overworked I don't think it operates to slowly. But any full scale use of notes needs some integration of Evernote or word processors that operate separately.

I think Evernote could be integrated into the program itself. They have managed to do that with the iPhone/iPad app. I don't see why it couldn't be done with L4.

I really hope the speed of the Notes editor will be addressed soon. It is sooooo very frustrating to use.
