Precepts Help - Hebrew Word Study- Genesis

If you're a precept leader/user, perhaps you can help me. I have L4 scholars, and it includes the TWOT, but I just can't seems to use it. So, I'm doing Genesis 1, and we are to do a hebrew word study on the actions verbs of God. So, on the "our God of action" handout, it lists the word "created." And Kay has "Bara - create; differs from yatsar "to fashion" in that the latter emphasizes the shaping of an object while bara emphasized the initiation of the object..." I'm not sure where she got this info, despite the workbook saying she used the TWOT. I recently purchased the AMG set, but am awaiting the DVD.

Any veterans, can you offer any help with hebrew word study?

Well, it seems that TWOT isn't indexed well for Hebrew lemmas, and seems to work better with Strong's numbers.

So you can lookup "created" in TWOT by

right-clicking on "created" in Gen 1,
select the "Hebrew Strong's" tab from the right side of the menu
select Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament from the left side of the menu (as show here)

That will bring up a TWOT window. I've indicated the portion of the TWOT text that Kay is referring to:

Todd, again, thank you so much. I'm ready to roll now. I was trying to link the TWOT and the NASB word...and was getting all confused. This is so much easier.

I have so much to learn about this program.
