Organizing Clippings

I've been using Clippings through a study and have accumulated about twenty-five so far. I'm looking for a way to select a place to insert a new clipping or a way to reorganize the current clippings like I would a stack of index cards. I know that I can move a clipping by holding the left button, scrolling to a new location in the stack and then dropping the clipping there. This is becoming slow and tedious. Are there other ways to ease and speed this up?

Thanks in advance to all you forum folks, especially you who give so much time and effort. Following the forum posts have been a good way to get up to speed in L4.

I believe that you can drag and drop clippings to order them however you wish.

Scot, I was having the same issue today and just learned something new. If you want to put in a new clipping somewhere other than the end of the clipping file, do the following:

1. Scroll to the proper place in the clipping document.

2. Highlight the text you wish to clip.

3. DRAG the highlighted text to the appropriate place in the clipping document and release.

It will appear right where you want it!

That's helpful, but I wish Logos would develop a better way to organize clippings. I tend to clip a lot of information and have one clipping file for each message or study I am working on. Dragging isn't helpful enough when you cannot see the whole file of clippings. One thing I do to filter is assign tags which correspond to points in my outline, then filter by tag when I'm reviewing items. It would be much nicer to be able to organize clippings within the file by nesting them in an outline format. (Like one might sort through 3x5 notecards in the old days).
