No, credit can be split. Double check with Customer Service - it may depend on the source of the credit.

I was wondering whether the credit I have on my account, which is from returned resources, will automatically be applied to my first few months Pro subscription like it is against resources purchased. I assumed it would, but maybe I must check.
It looks as though you can request this on the Credit page associated with your account

So for the benefit of those who find this thread later....
Checked in with Logos Support and they confirmed that a credit can be spread over multiple purchases. I just went ahead and made my purchase and it subtracted the amount from my credit with a balance remaining,
I also ticked those boxes that Graham pointed out, so thanks for that.
