After reading Dan Doriani's book "Getting The Message" I began listening to his podcast. So I am curious where do you listen to podcasts? What are your favorite podcasts?
Great timing! I am still using Google Podcasts but since it is being killed by Google I am looking for a new podcast app.
Most of the daily podcasts that I listen to are either in Dutch of German but here are some English podcasts that I enjoy listening to:
- Exegetically Speaking (Wheaton College/Lanier Theological Library)
- 5 Minutes in Church History (Ligonier Ministries) -
- Jewish History in Daf Yomi (dr. Henry Abramson)
- History of Philosophy without any gaps (LMU München/King's College London)
Edit:
There is an audiobook of the 5 Minutes in History Podcast in the Logos Store: https://www.logos.com/product/198126/5-minutes-in-church-history-an-introduction-to-the-stories-of-gods-faithfulness-in-the-history-of-the-church
Another podcast with a connection to Logos is the The Naked Bible Podcast by the late Michael Heiser (who was a scholar in residence with Logos).
I love the Naked Bible Podcast referenced above. Some others I like are below.
You’re Not Crazy https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/podcasts/youre-not-crazy/
Gospelbound: https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/podcasts/gospelbound/
Take 2 Theology. https://open.spotify.com/show/3SpqSenuEA2VHISLWO4n5v?si=821ce5efbf1d48b6
One of my favorite podcasts is Ancient Faith's The Lord of Spirits, which is available through most podcast sources.
If you're a fan of Michael Heiser's "Unseen Realm" type works, you'd find a lot of compatible subject matter.
My favourite would be The Whole Council by Media Gratiae/John Snyder, I would encourage all to check it out, very edifying. I have also benefited greatly from Ask Pastor John (Piper), and Renewing Your Mind with R. C. Sproul.
