Forum bug: can't insert links anymore

I can't insert a link anymore by selecting text and clicking the link icon, pasting a URL, and clicking Insert. Nothing happens. I have to go into the HTML and insert it manually. Thank goodness I know HTML, but what about for everyone else who doesn't?
This is happening on Chrome, even after a reboot, and I've got the latest version of Chrome. Have been using Chrome to access the Logos forums for years and have never had this problem before. It started a few days ago. It works OK in Firefox, but I prefer Chrome as my main browser.

Hmm, I'm on Win 10, but I wonder why that would make any difference?

I'm on Win 11 with (up-to-date) Chrome and I also can't add links to text.

Glad to know it's not just me. But it's puzzling. I don't have much hope anyone at Logos will do anything about it, since they are actively exploring a replacement for this old forum software. But I had to vent, and I'm glad to have some corroboration. I'll continue with my workaround, manually editing the HTML. But it'll probably mean fewer posts from me with linkable stuff in them.

I cannot upload links either.

I figured out what's at the heart of this problem, and thus a workaround:
It seems that when you select some text and then click the link icon, the selection disappears and becomes an insertion point at the end of where your selection was. You don't notice this, because the dialog box is usually up on top of it. But when you paste a URL in and click Insert, nothing happens, because you can't insert a link at an insertion point.
So the workaround is this:
Once you have clicked the link icon to bring up the Insert/Edit Link dialog box, then Alt+Tab back to your main browser window, fix the selection back to where you had it, then Alt+Tab back to the dialog box and finish your work there.
This is on Windows only, obviously (it happens only when I'm using Chrome).
Hope this helps for you others who are experiencing this problem.

Just an update: the bug now is happening the same way for me as for you, and I'm using your workaround. Thank you for telling!
Have joy in the Lord!
