Bible as a Personal Book -- TOC Book and Chapter numbers

I'm putting my translation of the Byzantine text in a Personal Book. I've been able to work out all the formatting issues except one. I can't seem to get the book and chapter numbers to show up in the Table of Contents. The TOC just shows the name of the Personal Book that I entered when creating it (in the Add Book section).

Per the instructions I've found in various places, the book name is in Heading 1 and the chapter numbers are in Heading 2. I've tried several formatting options, but I've been unable to populate the TOC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW I wouldn't use "Chapter", use "Col. 1" "Col. 2" instead. It is much more convenient in the TOC, than only see chapter, chapter, chapter. For me Logos should change this in all their Bibles too. You know much faster where you are.

BTW for the X-refs in the footnotes you can do

Thanks, Fabian. Unless I'm missing something, that's the format I'm using. I did catch a typo on the first chapternum. I've been playing around with Ephesians for months trying to get the TOC to populate.

And thanks for the tip about the chapter numbers. Once I get the TOC to populate, I'll see if I can change it as you have suggested. Maybe there is a way to have the TOC read differently than what shows up in the Bible. From what I have read, Logos is just supposed to take the heading and automatically generate the TOC to match. I like the idea of Col 1 in the TOC, but I think I would want it to read Chapter 1 in the Bible.

And in the footnotes do [[1:12 >> Col. 1:12]] so it links to them. if you only have the numbers. Also for the 2 Enoch, you need the Logos terminus so it links. 2Enoch or slavEnoch or so. Like [[2 Enoch 2:4 >> 2Enoch 2:4]].

I'm not sure if the way i have showed you is correct. Maybe [[@Bible:Mt 1]]{{~ Mt }} {{field-on:chapternum}}1{{field-off:chapternum}} is better.

I just tried uploading the Bible Headings doc as a personal book. The TOC doesn't populate on it, either. The only thing that shows up is the title of the PB (which I just called "test").

I imported it as a Lexicon and got the same TOC.

May you download Logos again and override yours.

Now also the Chapters are recognized.

Reinstalling Logos nearly never helps in this kind of issues.

In fact I found your problem: There's a paragraph mark right before Chapter 1, that seems to contain duplicate style definitions etc (many weird errors and warnings from the PB compiler). Removing that will make the document compile very well, show the headings and only have two minor warnings about Hebrew text.

Thanks, NB.Mick. This helped me find my problem. I've been using Google Docs to edit the Docx files and apparently, it does some weird things that have been preventing my TOC from generating. When I save the file from Microsoft Word and then upload it, it works fine.

I've spent so many hours on this thinking I had the formatting wrong. Oh well. I appreciate you and @Fabian.
