Bug: Print/Export in Beta 9/10

1. The margin setting is not remembered - it reverts to Normal

2. A Syntax Search diagram is truncated in Print/Export view using A4 Landscape, Moderate margins:-

Two pages are indicated but the second page is blank. If I change to Narrow margin the diagram is still truncated but only one page is indicated!

3. If a Syntax diagram fits the Landscape view two pages are indicated and the second is blank. One page is indicated if I change the margins from Moderate to Narrow!

4. Print as Exported is confusing. It is simply a different View to Print as shown on screen so any significance of "as exported" is lost. Print Grey shades is more meaningful! Also notice that more >> is omitted from a Definition section of Word Study guide.

I've come across a different problem with printing Syntax Search documents, so I'll have to address this later.

When you 'print' using the "Print as exported" option, the result will look the same as when you 'export' the panel. You won't see the "more >>" link. When you 'print' using the "Print as shown on screen' option, the printout will look as the same as it does on the screen, and you will see the "more >>" link.

My point is that "Print as shown on screen' provides a preview that matches the screen format but am I supposed to understand that the preview for "Exported" is the same as when I click "Print as exported" (a tautology!)? There are similarities with the output but they are not the same (see below).

The GUI presentation could be improved by replacing Print as ... with:

Screen Preview (for Print only)

Export Preview (for Print or Export) ==> although the output is different

'Print as exported' and 'Print as shown on screen' do appear the same when exported to RTF, but are different when exported to HTML or XPS. I would have to find out why that is, possibly a limitation of RTF.
