Link in book not working correctly?
So, I was reading "The Apostle Paul and his letters: An Introduction" by Dr. James Prothro, Verbum on an iPad. I got to a link for 1 Clement 47:1-2, so Tapped it to read it. It says "Not available":
So then I long press it, and select "Open in new row" - and it's there - which I knew I had the resource:
Why would the 'tap' say "not available? Other links are working, but I have only encountered biblical references in this resource so far.

Oops I forgot I am on beta - version 35.0.0. So I wonder if this is a bug in the beta?
Can this thread be moved to the beta forum?

I'm running the same beta version of the app on my iPad so I don't think that's the issue

I am on the new iPad Pro M4, I wonder if that matters.
I tried closing the tab, removing the download, closing the app, then reopening-redownload, and the same happens. I get a very brief rotation of the pie-circle (well less than a second) before I get the "Not Available". Any other ideas I should try?

Is it only that link you are having a problem with, or do you see the same thing in links to other non-biblical references?

I scrolled forward awhile, and I found two that worked - Cicero and Tacitus if I remember, but then I found another that said "Not Available" - Suetonius, Claudius 25.4. It too opened fine in a new row in the same tile.

Don, I have had this happen before on my iPhone 8 Plus. I think it is a glitch. I cannot reproduce now. I had it happen in 2022 I think I am going to look at my notes in my Logos Book and see. I am not 100% sure but I think it happened in only one publisher across several of their books. I will let you know soon.
EDIT This error was in the Loeb Library from Harvard University Press. It would say "Not Available" when I single or double tapped on an extrabiblical reference. I never got a fix other than to read them on my PC. I did not know much about the OS of iPhone or Apple. So I never took it any further other than to test it on another phone and iPad. It worked fine on my mother's iPad 6th gen and her iPhone 10. Hope this is of help to you.

Sorry it would not let me edit again. I guess time restraints are the issue here. Now I own an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I tested it in The Jewish War, Vols. 1–3: Books 1–7. I do not own your book in question "The Apostle Paul and his letters: An Introduction" by Dr. James Prothro. All is working as expected in the Loeb Classical Library volumes. Hopefully someone else can help you out and do the testing necessary.

Thanks anyway for researching it, Christian!
