Journals as the Next Subscription Program

Yes, guessing. And not in a flippant way.

I was reviewing my 2 prepubs in depth. My years-waiting-for / in-production is still. But my Academic Journals are interesting (August ship)

- Academic is now up to $1,300. And for older journals (mainly).

- Only the last 3 'batches' are purchasable now (eg 7.4, 8.2, 9.1+). Meaning, there's no affordable entry level(s)

- Which, I'd assume is the intent. Golden gooses are a pain.

- Journals have a track record for subscription, and usually fill the 'recent' goal for reading/research

So, I'd say, journals will be next up at bat.  Personally, I'm an off-net Logosian, so chances would be 9.2 will my final. And that's ok. I enjoy reading the older issues.

That's something I've found disappointing. A decade ago, the mid-level base packages included some of the more accessible journals, and there were some reasonably affordable journal bundles. I'm not a professional scholar, so I can't justify buying the current bundles - but I did find that being able to include a modest number of the less technical journals in my library enhanced my study.

Great analysis. Journals are very important to research as an upcoming scholar in progress.

I am training and I use the new research discovered in articles and scholarly papers to research my current analysis and understand. That is something I have found unsatisfactory, DMB. I do not have 300-1000$ to sink into a journal package in Logos. I am not a professional researcher. In my mind I cannot justify purchasing the current libraries mentioned above. I would like to see a way to pull in articles from my local library that are accessible online and post them into Logos to be able to have the research at my finger tips.
