Nice. One of the very few modern translations of the TR. I would like to see what has been changed.
I looked online for any information on the new 2024 revision and could find absolutely nothing.

I really like the MEV and have used it in an interdenominational Bible study years ago. John, are you referencing the Textus Receptus? I did not know the MEV used it as its basis. Do you have an article or book that shows that to be true? I do not have Facebook so I cannot verify the information online through it. I did some searching too

Christian, the MEV is a translation of the Textus Receptus and the Jacob ben Hayyim edition of the Masoretic Text, using the King James Version as the base manuscript.
Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. - Colossians 3:14

What online apps has it been released on? I'm eager to check it out. I've been waiting for this for a long time.

That official website still shows only the version completed in 2013. I see no evidence of the 2024 version being available online anywhere yet. BibleGateway still has the 2013 version.

Dan Cleghorn, could you answer Cheryl's question? I'm not going to join the private FB group just for this, as I'm not interested in this version.

I must be the last person on the planet that isn't on facebook. It will not let me see anything.

Yes its the Textus Receptus. Quite a few years ago I compared the NKJV with the MEV and found them to be very similar.
From the Logos product description:
The Modern English Version (MEV) is the most modern translation produced in the King James tradition in 30 years. The Modern English Version (MEV) is a translation of the Textus Receptus and the Jacob ben Hayyim edition of the Masoretic Text, using the King James Version as the base manuscript.0 -

You know they both used the AV as their base. From the Logos product description for MEV [quote]The Modern English Version (MEV) is a translation of the Textus Receptus and the Jacob ben Hayyim edition of the Masoretic Text, using the King James Version as the base manuscript.
and for NKJV [quote]Every attempt has been made to maintain the beauty of the original version of the KJV Bible, while updating the English grammar to contemporary style and usage. The result is much better "readability." It is noteworthy that the NKJV is one of the few modern translations still based on the "Western" or "Byzantine" manuscript tradition.Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Sorry it took so long to respond. The following is part of the post from the Facebook group I mentioned in my post. I gave an example between the original and updated texts after the post."I'm pleased to be able to inform that the Updated MEV Text has been completed and is ready to go to reprint.I've Cc'd ****** on this email as he is directly involved with the rollout plans for the bible reprint(s). You'll want to pursue additional information through ****** regarding expected availability of the Updated MEV Bible and the selected formats that will be coming. The Updated MEV Text File is being pushed to the online bible services for immediate release online. It looks like Youversion.com may be the first site ready to launch the updates, so you'll want to check back regularly with that service to get the first look at the finalized updates. That's the latest intel for now."Example:
Original: 1 Peter 3:8 *Finally, be all of one mind, be loving toward one another, be gracious, and be kind.
Updated: Finally, be all of one mind, compassionate, loving toward one another, gracious, and kind.

There shouldn't be an update to Logos until the MEV has actually been printed and has appropriate citation information.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

You can read the updated MEV here. Thank you, Dan, for bringing this to our attention!

Unfortunately, I was mistaken about BIble.com. It seems they are still updating the online MEV. However, their mobile app (YouVersion) has a fully updated version of the MEV.

Would you possibly know if the Publisher is aware that they need to send in the appropriate citation information? Is that a difficult or long process for Logos to update the text once you receive that info from the Publisher? Will the updated version require a new purchase from users, similar to going from NASB95 to NASB2020?

The MEV 2024 can now be purchased in print format. Hopefully it will come to Logos soon.
