Can No Longer Select Multiple Formats

When browsing books on the site, I normally browse Logos Research Editions and Reader Editions by selecting the filters on the left hand side of the page under "Format".

The new commerce software has removed the ability to select both. It is either one or the other. I think this is a pretty big hindrance.

I'm impressed several customer choices are removed. It's like a detective story. Does the commerce 'partner' have a selection limit (which suggests the library is housed on the partners servers)? How does FL decide to ax choices. Historically, they just argue, no one uses it. And does the thinned down operation do something for .... well, someone?

On the latter, eliminating sort by dynamic price .... that's interesting! And keeping sort by fake savings (vs sale savings). I use fake savings a lot!

Bumping to point out that you also can't select multiple Publishers anymore. This is a HUGE hindrance. I was looking for a title by Tyndale and wanted to include both versions of Tyndale's imprints, but I couldn't. I had to do two separate searches.

As soon as you click any publisher box, it makes that the only option, as if these are mutually exclusive radio buttons, not checkboxes. Please fix this!

Hi Rick,

The user interface no longer supports it, but the engine does.

Just look for the string "format-research_Format" in the URL and edit it to add "%2Bformat-reader_Format".

The problem is caused by a "feature" of the new platform. When you select any filter, the facet options displayed reflect only the subset of resources that match that filter (after the ridiculous 20,000 product limit decided that you're only allowed to see about 15% of the catalogue anyway). That means that the checkboxes have effectively become radio buttons.

PS: I am thouroughly sick of this new platform, so I am saving my money until Logos fix it. At the moment, they seem to have stopped responding to complaints, so we've got no other option that to apply commercial pressure.
