Does anybody know when Lesson builder will be include in Logos 4?
thanks
Mariano
I do not recall anything about Lesson Builder making a comeback in L4, except that recently we've learned that the handouts feature in Windows (not in Mac yet) will be rebuilt to be more flexible - at which time it will be brought to the Mac platform as well.
Around that thought there has been some hope that handouts will become more like Lessonbuilder. Is this what you're referring too? If so, there is little knowledge when that will happen.
I highly suspect it will not occur until the missing features are complete.
Yea, thanks Thomas, I love handouts but I also have lesson builder and any time that I want to create a lesson I have to work in 2 different computers, one that runs LB and the other one I use my MAC for logos, will be nice if everything is included in one.
There was discussion I believe generated by Logos on the newsgroups sometime ago about 'Lesson Builder' making a comeback in next generation of their software, which we now have i.e. Logos 4. As Thomas suggested, my take on that is that Handouts what they had in mind. From what was said back then I got the impression that this new 'Lesson Builder' would not simply be a replication of the Lesson Builder as we know it. In short my take on Building a Lesson in Logos 4 would involve first setting up a collection of all the 'Study Guides / Lesson Books you have in Logos. Then create a Custom Passage Guide that uses this collection. Run it for the pericope you are interested in creating a lesson for, and you will have access to all the questions available pertaining to that text. As you work through them and find ones that are relevant to your study theme/purpose then add them to a clipping document. Once completed you can go back to the clipping document and review what you collated. Delete those that you now decide are no longer relevant to your needs. Use the notes section for each clipping to re-frame the question in a way that makes it fit into the flow of your study. You can then use the blank sections that you add to handouts to then add these re-framed questions to the handout. And also include some relevant materials whether it be a map or something else that is available to add to handouts.
I've never owned Logos Lesson Builder, but I once owned what I think is a similar product that was put out by NAVPRESS. So I appreciate this is not quite the same.
