Hello everyone,
I was able to install Logos4 onto two separate Win7 machines but when trying to install on a WinXP (SP3) machine, I get a run-time error stating: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I've tried to delete the Logos4 folder located at "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\" but it appears that there is always a file that is locked by another process within the "Install\Installers" sub-folder. Here's where it gets even more interesting. Rebooting the machine does not help. In fact, it appears that a Windows process (svchost.exe) is continually writing to a new file in the format of "BITxx.tmp" (where xx is an alphanumeric sequence). These files will continue to proliferate... within a few minutes, a new "BITxx.tmp" file is created and each one created always ends up being of size 41,266KB or 20,076KB.
Anyway, because one of those tmp files is always locked, I can't clear out the directory to retry the install. Even if I leave it alone, it continues to write. Any advice?
Thank you.
