I have megabucks invested in Logos. I at times get concerned. But resorting to childish comparisons is just that - childish. Trying to run a business while trying to meet customers needs as well as seeking to be fair (especially in a Christian environment) is hard. At least we can show a little respect, even if we at times disagree or are concerned.

I know I will be attacked, but I get really tired of reading some of the attitudes that show up on this forum.

This is by design. When there are only 2 prices - one for those who have L10 and one for others - it is clear that both (i) people who are new and (ii) people have upgraded till L9 but not L10 have to pay 2 years subscription to get L10 features permanently. So this is a good deal for newbies but not people who have upgraded some but not all. I think by offering only 2 price points, they are effectively getting everybody to upgrade to L10 one way or another.

1) Anyone who owns any feature set at all is best off upgrading to L10 with dynamic pricing. This is very likely to save money in the long run.

2) While I am quite content with the pricing for L10 owners (minus the problem of not having the option to opt-out of book rentals), I think they have overpriced the packages for those who do not own L10. Paying $700 over two years while acquiring ownership of NO features is a very hard pill to swallow. I don't think too many will try.

Hopefully that is Mark responding to the audience in the Forums, as I would agree with you - that would be a "deal" I would never buy.... Throwing $700 down on the table and leaving without any features to use.... Not a good deal if I were a potential new customer....

I don't care much about the FBOTM for that reason. Having a pool of books to choose from would be awesome, but I think it unlikely. Some of the books they include are very high quality books, and I don't think publishers would be on board with Logos having them available for free perpetually. I do love the idea though. Perhaps if they included a pool of books as an alternative to the FBOTM for those who don't want it or already have it. That would be pretty sweet.

I have way more than I ever even dreamt I'd have put into this thing. I purchased
Logos 3 at a "discount", and pretty much have regretted it ever since. I keep putting more money into it, HOPING that something other than my wallet and me breaking.
I wonder, if Jesus walked through the halls at this company, would he be pleased or, would he beat the money-changers, calling it a den of thieves. As many have pointed out endlessly, "They are a business first, and ministry second". Or, maybe more accurate, :"a business, period" I really do try not to judge them harshly. But (and you know that the word "but" means, "forget everything said prior") it is very hard not to. YES, a workman is worth their hire. At the same time, it's not their work. It is God's word, God wrote it, and he gave it to us freely. That being said, it does cost to bring it to us, and they do labor to bring it to us, therefore, they should be paid to bring it to us. And, yes, they should be profitable, and even blessed. Yet, at the same time, have they crossed a line that has God cringing? I'm afraid the answer to that is a very disturbing yes.

My demonstration Logos account (order total of $0.00) shows dynamic price of $785.07 for Logos 10 Full Feature Upgrade so Logos Max subscription of $349.99 per year for two years is less expensive than purchasing Full Feature upgrade and resources.

Please elaborate what pricing makes sense from your perspective.

Logos Max subscription for my purchased account shows $129.99 per year (Logos 10 owner).

FWIW: annoying for me is being unable to scroll down on https://www.logos.com/early-access web page (using Opera browser) due to animated gifs causing page location to automatically reset.
