These books are variants of the Breviary or Liturgy of the Hours. Okay, one is for a devotional liturgy but you get my drift.

  • Claiborne, Shane, Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove, and Enuma Okoro. Common Prayer: A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals. Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2010.
  • Nelson Gingerich, Barbara, Arthur Boers, Eleanor Kreider, John Rempel, and Mary H. Schertz. Take Our Moments # 1: An Anabaptist Prayer Book. Harrisonburg, VA: Herald Press, 2007.
  • Boers, Arthur, Barbara Nelson Gingerich, Eleanor Kreider, John Rempel, and Mary H. Schertz. Take Our Moments # 2: An Anabaptist Prayer Book Advent through Pentecost. Harrisonburg, VA: Herald Press, 2010.
  • Gushee, Jeanie, and David Gushee. Yours Is the Day, Lord, Yours Is the Night: A Morning and Evening Prayer Book. Nashville, TN: Thomas Nelson, 2012.
  • Doolittle, Benjamin R. The Way of St. James Prayer Book. Eugene, Oregon: Resource Publications, 2019.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
