DATA ERROR? Messianic Judaism should be Judaism? Anglican?

Hershon, Paul Isaac. Genesis: With a Talmudical Commentary. London: Samuel Bagster and Sons, 1883. shows as a Messianic Jewish resource in the Factbook Commentary section. Given the dates associated with Messianic Jews in the Factbook, this is anachronic. Furthermore, the author is Anglican I believe. While the resource is interfaith, it is not Messianic Judaism.

Thanks for the report. For now I've removed Messianic Judaism as his denominations and added nothing in its place. After a short bit of research, the most I could ascertain was that he converted to Christianity at a young age.

That's a toughie.

- The writer references Christian canon without qualification or explanation. "There is a tradition that Rabbon Gamliel (who is mentioned in Acts) was once riding on an ass, soon after the feast of the Passover, from Acca to Chezib, and Rabbi Illaii walked behind him."

- But the discussion most closely matches the Targums (Neofiti mainly), even when the messiah, suffering, etc is discussed.

I didn't know of it, since I don't need a messianic overlay. But now reading it, it's a good addition to the Targums (even though 'recent'). Purchased!
