I received another Suggested for Your Library Email today. There was an issue with one of the suggestions.

In all fairness, ChristianBook does this to me all the time. They'll send me out a "We think you'd love to buy this" email usually a day or two after I buy the item. :-)

I will say it is a good Theology book though. Read it through a few times in seminary, even for my PhD Comp Exam.

I get ads all the time online for stuff right after I buy it. Amazon does it all the time. I ordered a pair of Crocs the other day directly from the Crocs store, and these ads started showing up on other websites. I don't get it. No, I'm not going to buy another pair.

I used to get those all the time with all the targeted advertising, especially when I bought a Verizon Mobile Hotspot years ago (I kept getting Verizon Mobile Hotspot ads, as if I'd really need more than one since back then they had two year contracts and hefty monthly fees).

Since installing Ad Block Plus across my browsers and making a bunch of privacy tweaks, I've been able to eliminate a lot of my ads and targeted advertising.

If I'm going to get ads anyway, I don't mind if they are targeted. They don't work on me since I'm not motivated by ads, so they are wasting their time & money, but whatever. If I tweak privacy to avoid the targeted ads, then I end up getting really bizarre random ads like this one for portable sawmills. I generally ignore ads anyway, so they don't really bug me. Occasionally I laugh at them.

I don't know, I can totally see you benefitting from your own portable sawmill. :-)

At $2000 off, the total price is probably in the five digits. I've spent more than that many digits on Logos over the years, but I think I'd want some serious pre-pub pricing on that puppy before I'd consider it.

Anyway, you can get a portable (chain)saw mill for under $100 on Amazon. [:)]

Since I opened these posts in my browser, I'm pretty sure I'll be getting saw mill ads. 🙂

Maybe Logos will add one to the L11 libraries. :-)
