Hi.

I'm just installing Beta 5 now.

As the install was running, I got a dialog box with the error message mentioned above. The MSI installers continued to run, though, and it looks like the error message was premature. Logs are attached.

Beta 5 installs the "SBL Greek" font, which requires administrative privileges. This component may have failed to install, but this shouldn't prevent the rest of Beta 5 installing properly.

    Hi Nigel,

Thanks for the log files, they confirmed what was going on. This problem was caused by multiple instances of the Logos4Setup.exe program running at once. The first one to launch the Logos 4 Prerequisites install succeeded (and went on to install the rest of the application update) while the second instance failed, since Windows Installer only allows one install to run at a time. Do you remember how you launched the update--was it from the Indexer icon's balloon tip, or its context menu, or was it when you restarted Logos 4 from a shortcut? The later would have showed you a dialog saying, "Updates are ready to be installed. Do you want to install them now? (Recommend)" with a Yes and a No button.

This problem should be fixed with Beta 6. Have you had a chance to install Beta 6, and, if so, did it run without displaying this error message?

    Thanks,

    Bryan
