These are personal sermo notes - they are not meant nor intended for people to read, and yet I have no option other than deleting them afterwards, which is not ideal.

Why are you publishing them if you don't wish to share them?

Go to the Share icon in the sermon you are working on and choose the Public tab and be sure that Make Document Public is No. Select the Group tab and make sure that if you are sharing the manuscript to a group that you are sharing it to the group or groups you wish to do so. Otherwise don't select any. groups Sermon builder will remember your last selections when you start a new sermon document.
