They are releasing Logos 11 as a subscription in the fall, probably October. You can get a free trial now. https://www.logos.com/early-access

Ummm, I would not call the monthly subscription "free," but you CAN get it now. [smile]

And it's still Logos 10.34.1.9...

Since there are nor new features, what is the use of trying it only the name?

Sure, and the stable install I have is Verbum 34.1.9 (startup: v34.1) - the point was the 10.34.1.9: where does it say that? "10" is the bundle generation, not the software version.
Have joy in the Lord!

Yes your are right... My Logos about says 34.1.9... They were talking about Logos 11 and I "assumed" I was still on 10... my bad.

It might not even be called Logos 11 anymore! Maybe just Logos BS Platform with subscription and the library builders Starter, Bronze, Silver, etc. Discounts might not be as good anymore.

I have not heard Logos talking about a Logos 11, only user speculation.
My understanding was that now that we're in a new subscription era with continuous development and release of new features as they are developed, they will be holding nothing back for a new "major release".
They changed the version numbering scheme of the software (which says we're now on 35.x) accordingly. Now a jump in version number is just an incremental release, nothing to get excited about.
What what other software companies that have moved to subscription model are doing for an idea of where Logos might go from here. Once you get on Microsoft 365, for example, it's just constant new things getting slipped in without you making a conscious decision to upgrade.

You might be right. It's just hard for me to imagine risking the company on 'feature subscriptions'. I assume they're operating off of PE funding currently. And it's not like anyone has to subscribe ... the free engine works fine for probably 90-95% of customers. Thus, I'd assume some sort of new packages and excitement is needed to fire up the new business model. Logos 11 doesn't sound too exciting, though.

I don't think they think they are "risking the company". I think they are hoping to get a more predictable stream of income.
And no, they are not operating off of PE funding. I used to be a shareholder. I sold my shares back to the company about 10 years ago, but as of the last year I still have records from, they were operating in the black and even paying a dividend (after a period in the red some years prior when they had to do some belt-tightening). So they aren't depending on PE funding to run the company.
My understanding was that PE funding bought out the original owners (at least Bob Pritchett and possibly his family members; though they -- even Bob -- might have retained some of their shares). There might still be other shareholders who held on (I know Morris Proctor was one, so his heirs might have those shares now). And there were a few other minor shareholders besides me.
The shareholder equity on the company Balance Sheet balances all the company's assets (property, equipment, cash, accounts receivable, inventory, etc.). The fact that there are shareholders who own that part of a company does not mean the company is *depending* on them *funding* the company. That's just how company finances work. Those shareholders could be company insiders, PE, or the general public for a publicly traded stock.
Cash flow is a separate thing. As long as their revenue (from selling resources and from subscriptions and whatever else they sell, plus any interest income) is greater than their expenses (salaries, taxes, rent, and other expenses), i.e., they have net income, they can stay in business.

Their FAQ says the next major version will be released in the fall as a subscription but there will still be new libraries. They may change the nomenclature, but I think that this is clearly what OP was asking.
Jack, are you not showing the option for a free trial? I know they were doing A/B testing with the length but I thought everyone was getting an option to do it for free.
Tes, there are some new features already, like smart search and the AI sermon assistant. So I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

Early Pro subscribers are running "Logos 11" features on Logos software versions 34 and 35. Other users (incl. Connect subscribers) are only running "Logos 10" features. By the Fall we could be running Logos 37, even if we are not on the new subscription.
