I'm guessing this means you may have deleted either a "quote user" or "/quote" tag in your reply. There needs to be the same number of each so they match correctly. It can get tricky if you are quoting someone who was quoting someone else.
Ok, thanks.
But I lost a couple of paragraphs explaining an answer. Oh well. Maybe it was to be [:P]
Chris, this is what I got when I tried to reply. It finally got through.

Are these the paragraphs you lost? https://community.logos.com/forums/t/224013.aspx
I don't see my paragraphs.
There is an an additional post of yours at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/224013.aspx which has the same subject as this thread but with the following text. The words in italics look like what you were trying to quote/respond to in the other post. My guess is that you may have removed the "/quote" which is what caused the error message, but I do not know why doing so would have created a completely new thread.
Milkman,
Slightly OT question. What is it about this new edition that makes you consider purchasing it "IF" you already own the previous one?
Well, you know that's a pretty good question. I suppose there are a couple of answers I would give.
Do I need a new driver? No sir. Would I like to get one? Absolutely, but at $800 CND and on the off chance of it improving my game the chances are slim to none. However, those golf commercials have me right where they want me.
So, when I see a new edition to a book that I already own (3rd edition of the book we're referring to) my book-brain gets hijacked and before I know it, I have purchased a resource that I may or may not even read.
Speaking only of myself. I have way too many books in my library. Most of which I will never get to. I don't need anymore. But, it sure is tempting...
True confessions of a bibliophile.

I suppose there are a couple of answers I would give. It's been 10 years since the previous edition. Within that time there 'probably' is updated information, studies, reviews and the like. I would like to think that I'm keeping up with current scholarship. I'm afraid I'm one of those book hoarders who feels he 'needs' the latest and greatest edition. Do I REALLY need it? Of course not. It's that pull when I see those words, 'new edition' 'updated' 'improved' and the like. Do I need a new driver? No sir. Would I like to get one?
