This is an excellent book for understanding what AI does and does not do as well as how to take advantage of its methods when useful. Computational Logic and Human Thinking: How to Be Artificially Intelligent: Kowalski, Robert: 9780521123365: Amazon.com: Books Kowalski is best known for his seminal work in the 70's on logic and decision making.
My local library has this so I put it on hold to pick it up next week. Cannot wait to dig in.
MJ Smith, I feel the problem, especially in today's world that is full of so much deceit, is ai is only as good as the person or person's programing it. In Bible material, it is real easy to change the original scope or meaning of the ""Word", to fit an agenda. Even if the original agenda was good, the future of the material could be altered or changed to fit an ungodly agenda. In a way, it's messing with fire. I have seen in various versions of the Word, that certain verses have been changed, some verses have been deleted, which is a dangerous precedent when dealing with God's Holy Book. Even if the initial meaning is good, ai is opening a bag of worms that may never be able to be corrected. Just my thoughts.

I agree that the popular view of AI expects more of it than it is ready to deliver which is why I recommended this book for people who really want to understand what AI is. It is trained, not programmed, so it is never better than the source materials on which it is trained. And it is very difficult to choose a balanced collection of Christian resources on which to train it. I fear the abuse of AI by its users more than I fear AI itself.
So true, but it doesn't matter what or how it's called, whether it's programmed originally into the ai programming, or trained into it, it's only as accurate or honest by the original entering in of the information. We are seeing the result of that in the search engines that are now using it, where false information shows up, and everyone seems to be astounded by the answers that show, then the ai needs to be "adjusted" to allow the real meaning to come forth on a query, which sometimes is done, and sometimes they put forth a false message. I feel the main problem is twofold, one, there is very few people that would notice a deviant in the material that comes out of the response from ai, and two, there are majors actors [(satan himself?) didn't cap his name because he isn't worthy], that would deliberately want to lead people on the wrong course of life/beliefs they are following. Even if a company does great due diligence when putting together a program, there is a mighty chance of corruption somewhere.

Satan doesn't need Google or AI ... there are enough pseudo-Christian leaders to do his work for him.
There is no response needed to what you stated, so true, it's playing out across the globe. People blame satan for everything, but most wrong is decisions, people either making or desiring wrong. One of the many beauties of God, is he gives a choice, doesn't force, but allows that choice. Choose ye this day...
