Can I make a passage list from a sermon document?

I have a sermon document with multiple passages referenced and would like to make a passage list.

If I select all text, it doesn't pick up any passages from the sermon document.

If I select text and Cmd-C copy, then insert from clipboard, it only adds a reference, or a passage where I hit TAB to have it insert the text.  It does not pick up any where I hit ENTER to insert the block of text (which is how I do it 99% of the time).

Is there not a way to do this?

There may be a faster way but what I do is:

    1. select the printer icon
    2. select copy to clipboard
    3. create a passage list
    4. add entries from clipboard.

It always just adds the reference - use full/compact to control the text display. On the left you can choose one or more versions to draw the text from.
