SUGGESTION: Remember when Christian ministers and theologians were heroes?

Yes, I'm speaking of the civil rights movement, pacifist movement, liberation theology, ecumenicalism and the various sermons, hermeneutics, literature interpretation, etc. that they produced. One giant of the era was Robert McAfee Brown, a humble man who humorously described himself as "peeing for Christ" referring to the bus rides to desegregate bathrooms in the South. This is not a complete list of his work but please vote so that our American Church history is more representative of this significant period when religion was viewed positively.
