Ability to filter out unowned resources from the "All" search results

There is a place for being able to view unowned resources in my "All" search results. But there are also times when I only want to see results from resources I own. Please enable a filter, such that I have the ability to include or exclude results from unowned resources in the "All" search.

Vote here.

All is meant to search the entire Logos catalog.

Books will search ONLY your owned books.

Thank you, Roy. I understand that both of those comments are true. Nonetheless, I stand by my feature request. I'm fine with the All search searching the entire Logos catalog, but I would appreciate it if Logos gave me the option of filtering unowned resources out of the displayed results.

I feel that the suggestion to do a books search instead of an All search misses the point a bit. When I do an "All" search I don't want to do a books search. A books search won't search Factbook. It won't search documents. It won't display image results. An All search will do all of those things unless I have understood something incorrectly. The fact that people are being encouraged to do a books search to escape the large percentage of results showing from unowned resources in an All search actually serves to illustrate my point quite well.

    Hi eric,

I agree with you 100%. I came to the forums this morning specifically to make nearly the exact same request. I like the comprehensiveness, the scope of the AI search, but it is frustrating to be presented with line after line of locked resources that I don't own. I wish there was a simple button that allowed me to filter out the resources I don't own.

Of course, there are times when it is beneficial to see resources you don't own as perhaps an incentive to buy them because they seem to contain information that I would want but oftentimes, I just want access to resources that I've spent a lot of money to procure. I want the ability to focus on those.

While I can't speak for others, since the revision of the all search into "an unordered mess with random cards", I keep forgetting that is actually does search more than books. Why? because I use it as if it were a book search and don't keep hitting "more" to find the cards. Mind you, I actually understand the reason for the new approach and approve of the design. It simply changed my personal work habits in a way that makes me forget it is more than a book search - making me fall into the trap of thinking a switch to a book search is no big deal. But you are absolutely right. I, and others, have missed the point. You have my vote. And thanks for persevering until I got the point.

Agreed with Aaron. I have had this issue many times before. You have my vote on this area of weakness.

I'm glad this was suggested (I've been wanting to do this for a while). I miss being able to customize better with standard filters and more personalized filters (like author, collections). I like the smart search (All and Books), but I miss a greater power to filter or delimit both searches. In “books” we have the ability to delimit, but it could have some standard options via checkboxes, instead of always having to write: author:“...”, series:“...”, type:“...”, etc.
