New Inline Search Comments

If the hope was to force users to use the Search tool then a lot of work has been wasted in making it different to the previous Inline Search:

The Search box is now a Find box. But Advanced Search operators and terms can be used, including Search Fields

Search fields are restricted for Bibles, which cannot be searched for non-bible text.

Number of results is no longer displayed
When Inline Search is run from Context menu, focus does not change to the Search button.
removing a Search involves clearing the Search box rather than clicking the Search button.

Restore the lost functionality and provide buttons for Case, Forms as per the Search tool.

The Search box is now a Find box.

You understate the problem. The Search box is pre-filled with a shaded "Find" but it does not behave as a Find which is a straight character by character string search ... something I used frequently to find the origins of a quotation. Fortunately, a real Find still exists on the panel menu but why it remains there is a puzzle.

Logos needs to be very consistent in its use of 3 terms - search, find, look up. The number of issues reported on the forums that are a result of confusing these is amazing.

That is what I meant, although you may be clarifying my apparent understatement.

Fortunately, a real Find still exists on the panel menu but why it remains there is a puzzle.

It still functions with punctuation, so you can still find questions in the text, for example.

Thanks for this. Even if you decide to not restore the full functionality of inline search, please do bring the buttons (since they control the inline search in the resource and thus should be there) - there's lots of space in the search input line, the input field is much too long.
