Sell or Transfer License

If I understand correctly, it has been possible to transfer my Logos license to another party for an admin cost of $20USD.

Does this currently still apply? What will be the way to transfer a license when we move to a subscription service?

PS. While I'm in Australia, I'm conforming to US spelling for the sake of the weaker brethren... ;-)

Nothing to the contrary has been suggested.

I can't see why they would change anything. The only matter that will need consideration is whether one can assign an outstanding period of subscription.

If one has assigned ones Logos account in a will I doubt that the executors will be over concerned with a few months outstanding subscription unless they really really want to take you for all you were worth.

Well, that's good to know. But it would be good to hear from Logos that nothing to the contrary will apply!

Well, I guess one question is whether Logos will permit a subscription, together with accumulated benefits, to be transferred to another party. I'd appreciate that to be clarified by the Company, for I am loath to make assumptions about it, one way or t'other.

Previously, the transfer has always been about books or a complete library license & Books together. the stipulation if I remember correctly is that you can't transfer books that you depended on for an upgrade of some sort.

As Mike has said there has been no change to that policy, and it has not ever been brought up that I have heard. So, I think your safe to count on transferring everything, but your subscription Logos will have to comment on.

While forum members can give our best advice, being fellow users, policy can only be officially confirmed by the company itself.

A formal letter would probably extract a nuanced commitment.

With the best will in the world (and I believe that Logos, as far as a commercial entity can have, have the best will in the world) that nuanced reply is likely not to be worth the paper it is written on.
