I own the IVP Old/New Testament Background commentary, is there anyone that owns this and the Study Bible mentioned above. I would like to know if its worth adding the Study Bible as it is on sale.
The Study Bible is the “Abridged” version of the commentaries. Save a buck!

Dal, I own the IVP Background Commentary 2vol, so is the study Bible then not needed.
I've never really compared the two but they do seem similar. I believe the SB would have additional content like maps/graphs/charts as SBs usually do. Here is a snip from Romans 7
Acts 9:13-14 has a map of Damascus in the SB. The others don't have this
With the occasional map not available in the commentaries and slightly reworded shorter comments, if it’s cheap enough, you can get it. If after checking it out you see that you don’t need it, then you can return it within 30 days. It was really cheap on sale that’s why I bought it a good while ago.
