How do I access the "Angels, Demons, and Deities in the Bible" Dataset?
From the dataset documentation (https://ref.ly/logosres/cidbdocangdemdeities?art=art2):
There are four ways in which the Angels, Demons, and Deities Dataset is accessible in Logos Bible Software:
1. Using Search2. Using the Context Menu
3. Using the Information Pane
4. Using the Bible Browser
Using Search
Relevant information about Angels, Demons, and Deities can be searched using Label search extension. To do this, one needs to know the fields within the data type (annotated above). Once these are known, a search can be specified. For example, the following search will locate instances of angels in the Bible:{Label Supernatural Being WHERE Type ~ "Angel"}
This will locate supernatural beings affiliated in some way with Israel:
{Label Supernatural Being WHERE Location = <Place Israel>}
The above search could be narrowed further by eliminating where “God” is the deity:
{Label Supernatural Being WHERE Location = <Place Israel> AND Name != <Person God>}
Using the Context Menu
In a text that is indexed with the Angels, Demons, and Deities Dataset, any annotations active in the current selection will be listed in the context (right-click) menu. Right-click on a particular word or text selection and information regarding the structure will be displayed.Using the Information Pane
The Information Pane is accessed through the Tools menu, in the Lookup section, under the heading Other - Show supplemental data. This pane displays information about the word the mouse pointer currently covers. If the selection is annotated with the Angels, Demons, and Deities Dataset, then more information will display in the information panel.Using the Bible Browser
The Bible Browser is an online-only feature included with some configurations of Logos Bible Software. It provides faceted browsing of supported datasets and analyses. You can access it through Tools menu, in the Reference section.Note: Bible Browser support is forthcoming and may not be immediately available upon initial release of the dataset
