Logosians have long debated the merits of collections of books, vs tagging books. I'm a tagger, myself. I think they're great for quick book access, and organizing 'my way'.
But when I get on app.logos.com, or the mobiles, things slow down badly. First, I have a lot of tags (in the respective filters), they're ordered randomly (by count), or else I have to type them in the library box (not easy).
Enter Favorites.
- They're available, all 3 platforms (desktop, web, mobile). In the desired sequence.
- They're folder-able (very important). And order-able (drag-drop the order)
- I just keep my key reference books (not everything). Essentually, they're high-use books by group.
- They can be opened as a group (right-click/menu), on desktop and web (whoosh!). Very handy for subject-specific books.
- And on mobile, fast work .. no bumbling thru bunches of filters, or remembering the title.
In the example below, I'm in 2nd Baruch (syriac) and I have my key syriac at my fingertips (literally).
I'm planning more folders; big time saver. And ... they look like my Accordance library too!
