Note anchors from books

Hi, if I already have a note and then want to create an anchor to a spot in a book (not bible) I can't seem to do that on the mobile app. The only way I know to do it is make a new note by highlighting the spot in the book and selecting create note. Then later on the desktop I have to fix it by consolidating.

This also happens with Bible verses to a lesser extent. I may want to "paste" a verse in as an anchor. This also doesn't seem possible as I can only navigate to the verse when hitting add anchor..

Is this just the way it is, or am I missing it?

I don't think you are missing it, the mobile app does not contain all the features of the desktop app. In my experience you cannot add a non-biblical anchor to an existing note in the mobile app. ( I am using the Apple mobile app).

The only way around it is to open the Web App, go to the resource, highlight text at the place you want the anchor, open the existing note and tap 'add anchor' and choose the selection 'selected text'. It will create an anchor in the note to the resource at the point of the selected text.
