Apostolic Fathers - can't see English glosses

Hello. I'd be grateful of some advice on what may just be me being stupid.

I have Lake's Apostolic Fathers in Greek and Brannan Greek English interlinear.

In neither edition when I hover over a Greek word is the English gloss given, only the parsing and the lexical form. In Brannan additionally the Louw-Nida reference is given. There is the option with Brannan to toggle on the interlinear capability, but I would prefer the Greek text with gloss only appearing if I hover over the word.

When I open the GNT (UBS5 or NA28) and hover over a word the English gloss is given.

Am I doing something wrong, or do these resources not have that capability? (I have BDAG and various other lexicons).

Thanks in advance.

If you click on the interlinear icon the drop down will show what is available. Unfortunately English Gloss is not provided.

@Samuel welcome to the forums! Have you considered putting the bible and Information Pane side by side? That's what I do.

As my image shows, you can set the Information Pane to update on either a hover or click by clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the Info Pane. I have it set to hover, so when I go over a word, I can have any sections of the Info Pane expanded that I want.

    Does this work?

Thank you, Don. All my 'source' interlinears (Canaanite Inscriptions, Pseudepigrapha, Patrologia, Philo, Josephus, Fathers, etc) come with morphs, but not glosses. InfoPane works on all of them.

Of course, the Right-Click menu shows the glosses too, though easier to glance at the InfoPane.

The information pane should be a part of most people's layouts. It removes the annoying popups and provides some very good information.

    Thanks John - that's helpful.

In the Apostolic Fathers Greek interlinear (Brannan) both English lexical value and English literal translation are options (unsurprisingly), yet even when selected all that appears is as follows below. I assume that is just the limitation of the resource, but just wanted to check I wasn't doing anything stupid.

    Thanks John. That is helpful.

In The Apostolic Fathers Greek-English interlinear (Brannan) there is (unsurprisingly) under the interlinear icon both 'English lexical value' 'English literal translation'. So i would have thought that an English gloss might appear when i hover over the word. But as you can see below, that's not the case.

I assume it's a limitation of the resource and I can use the info pane workaround, but it's equally possible I've missed soemthing.

Thanks Don - yes that works and I think it'll do. I was sort of hoping it might be possible to have it flash up at the bottom tho too!
