Consider the AI assisted search engine Perplexity ...

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

This looks really good. What did you decide on its accuracy and precision? Where and how did you find this AI engine?

It is a search engine i.e. aiming to dethrone Google. Although it utilizes the LLM's (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.), it utilizes specific, footnoted reference and so is not prone to hallucinations or reiterative degradation. I judge its results by the quality of the sources from which it drew i.e. the search results just as I do Google. But where Google attempts to provide comprehensive lists of sources, Perplexity attempts to provide top quality resources. I have not yet tried to run it through its paces, I've only played with it and been pleasantly surprised. Ironically, I used Google to find the Perplexity site Perplexity

Perplexity is quite good from the times I have used it. CoPilot has been better lately with some aspects.

A very useful feature in Perplexity, which is also available in NotebookLM by Google, is the ability to upload documents and use the AI to ask questions about their contents.  NotebookLM will allow you to upload and query documents containing 500,000 words. It claims to allow up to 50 of these documents.

I hope that Logos develop features that allow us to query our libraries in the same way Perplexity and NotebookLM deal with documents.  I will probably run out my AI credits with great alacrity.

That's an interesting function and works pretty decent.... I uploaded a docx file and it gave an interesting response. It will be fun to use the free credits

Can you clarify? I have never used CoPilot.

Yes. I have used this before in the Google Workspace. It is very helpful and analytical.

Sure, it's the Microsoft version. It had improved quite a bit from it's infancy. Not perplexity overall - but as it is built into Windows 11 to a degree, it's easily accessed.

Curiosity kills the cat, so... I did the same search you did (with a small j - joshua) and compared the result.
