What is the difference between individual and individuals group in the advance timeline tagging?

There are multiple "Individual" groups because in the View menu you have chosen to group the events "By Subject and Type". "Individual" is the Type. The Subject is the vertical gray bar to the left of the events, "Biblical Studies", "Church History", etc. "Individual" will show up under each Subject that contains events of that type.
