Proximity Search: Hebrew Noun and Verb Together, Same Root

I believe that I have been able to figure out how to do a proximity search in Logos using the morph search query tool for a Hebrew noun or pronoun next to a verb that has the same root:

I would gladly accept any and all feedback from the more experienced Logos and/or Hebrew users to please check my results and see if this search worked or needs some adjusting. I'm still practicing with this particular tool to see what it can do.

I am not a very experienced Logos user, but I appreciate this post of yours! I did not know about the morph search query tool at all. This tool is a game changer as it makes it easy for basically anyone to quickly and accurately set up complex search.

Here are the results from one of my first attempts with this tool:

Believe it or not I had been entering searches by hand all this time!

[Y] This tool feels more comfortable to me because it is somewhat similar to the construct tool in Accordance but there are some differences.

Now, that is really interesting, because I do not ever remember this tool being advertised before!, I have never even seen a screenshot of these tool before I stumbled on this thread.

This tool feels more comfortable to me because it is somewhat similar to the construct tool in Accordance but there are some differences.

This tool reminds me of a little bit of Gramcord's search template (link) But, this is much easier on the eyes.

Gramcord search template limited you to 5 items (segments) and only ran searches on the Gramcord New Testament.

OH, I just learned that you can cut and past Hebrew or Greek into the boxes!

Love the search you're working on, I will be playing with that one too.

Really? It's nothing special, but if you like it here is the inverse of that search. I search for passages where someone calls, speaks, or cries out to the Lord. I forgot to put in other verbs like pray. This only came back with 18 hits. Need to work on it....

Thanks BK for posting the inverse of your search. Yeah, I was cutting and pasting a lot on some searches yesterday. Here is a link to one search I did on the phrase "Thus says Yahweh of hosts". Here is another search that I put together for the title "Yahweh of Hosts":

This search found 259 hits in 247 verses. I had no idea that this title was used so often in the OT. I really like this search tool in Logos. Going to be using it a lot more for searches.

I concur with that sentiment!

This search tool takes a visual and intuitive WYSIWYM appoarch to building queries. This workflow makes it easy to rapidly set up a queries before one loses ones train or thought. In addition that each of the segments can be instantly repositioned forward or backward making adjustments to one's query an effortless affair.

Boolean operators like AND and OR are virtually supported. OR is supported because for each Segment you can enter multiple choices in each catagory. Then AND is supported by the ability to add Segements.

However, the Boolean Operator NOT doesn't seem to be available.

In the future I would like to see search tool extended to included wildcards, searches on vowel point patterns, cantillation mark patterns, and syntax.

At the moment I think I have only strached the surface of what this tool is capable of. So in the mean time I would like to see if I and others can push this tool to it's limits!
