Amazon's Kindle has an experimental browser through which you can access some websites that are not too complex or heavy.
Currently, it can even access the Faithlife domain "biblia.com" and log in with your Faithlife/Logos account, as well as access the library and open books to read in the Kindle browser. However, due to the small text size, it is very uncomfortable, as there is no option to increase the font size to make reading easier. Even so, it is still possible to read Logos books in the Kindle browser with a bit of effort and good eyesight.
My suggestion is that Faithlife implement an adaptive setting for some of the existing sites ("biblia.com" or "app.logos.com") or create a simpler, dedicated site specifically for reading on the Kindle. The idea is not to have all the functions of Logos on the Kindle e-reader but ONLY to be able to read a book comfortably with:
- A home page with larger icons for easier access and login.
- A library option to locate Logos books.
- An easy option to increase the font size of the books.
- Possibly basic highlighting and book-marking features.
In this way, with simple functions, we could read Logos/Verbum/e-books in the Kindle's built-in browser. The advantage of this is that we can read on the electronic ink (e-ink) screen, which is easier on the eyes compared to LED displays, etc.
