Very thoughtful. It's a great deal and should spark considerable interest. Thanks, Taylor!Taylor Blomquist said:Beloved Amodeo said:How long is this offer good for?
Thanks for asking, we haven't given the 2 year option an end date. We feel that the 2 year option is going to be the best option for those of you who are avid Logos users. However, we know this is a big transition and we want to ensure you have adequate time to decide what's best for you.
Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

I received the email announcing this today. I was a Connect User from the start and Logos has seemingly done everything in its power to make the changeover to the new subscription model as pleasant an experience as possible. At every step they've gone beyond what I would have expected. Kudos to Mark and the rest of the team. For $30 more per year that what I was paying for Connect Essentials, I've got a more powerful Bible study tool and some serious upgrades.

If you would bear with me for one further question. If you should change your mind is there a trial period, say 30 days, for which you would receive a refund of some kind?Beloved Amodeo said:

On the early access page it says there's a 30-day free trial. Does this mean it would be advantageous to sign up for this before Oct 4 or just as well to wait until the full release later next month? Presumably by the time the 30-day trial is up the two year pricing will be live and then we can easily transition over to that...

If for example we pay for Premium by 2 years up front payment, can we then later upgrade with dynamic pricing prior to the end of the 2 years, in order to qualify for legacy fallback features that are later released for Pro and Max?
No.
Let's say you switched to Pro after 1 year of subscribing to Premium.
After two years of subscribing to Premium or above you'd qualify for the Premium LFL. After two years of subscribing to Pro (i.e., after three years in total), you'd qualify for Pro LFL.
Thank you Mark, this makes sense thanks for the clarification [Y]

Quick glance this doesn't make sense. You have premium, pro, and max
So the more I already have, the more I have to pay?

I understand we can still buy feature packages for Logos 10. My initial impression is that buying the feature upgrade to get a subscription discount is not worth it. It seems to make more sense to pay the two year subscription price, which then unlocks permanent features, rather than buy the feature upgrade and then pay the lower two year subscription price. Am I missing something or are others coming to the same conclusion?

I don't think it's this way. It's more like the more you want, the more you pay. If you already own the Logos 10 Full Feature Set, then you'll keep those features and they will continue to work. Without the subscription, you won't get access to new features. If you own the 10 Full Feature Set, you can have access to any level of the subscription at a lower price. If you own one of the lower levels of the feature set, you can have discounted access to the corresponding subscription tier (I forget the names of the other levels of the Logos 10 Feature sets).
I hope this helps address your concern.

For those who can afford to pay the two-year subscription price, you might be correct (I haven't done the math). However, for those who would have to pay for one year at a time, or maybe monthly, there could be savings. Also, if they are doing it monthly, and then for some reason, they cannot keep it up, they would lose all of the features.
I think Logos aims to benefit people who are on both sides of how they are paying.

Excited to experience new Logos Era. One odd question, please. What happens to "open pre-pubs?" I have requested several which have been "in-production" since March 2023. Still hoping these will remain on order and available soon as I do not understand what's taking so long.
Any information you can provide will be helpful.

Well, so much for Logos. Been a fun ride. I’ve used this software for many years and saying goodbye will not be easy. In this economy to ramp up a subscription service?! Really?! LOL… hope Logos10 and iOS will still work for a while. What a shame.

Taylor, this is simply great. The answer to this question may have been answered elsewhere and perhaps I forgot. I assume that MAX includes all previous tiers? If so, I will switch from PRO to MAX soonest! (When my wife finds out that I did I'll look like Beetle Bailey when Sarge got done with him. [:D]).

Nathan, it's party time for you!
- They promise, what you own (software and books and features) will continue working ... for free! They're paying the freight.
- They say they'll keep your app in working condition for the 'forseeable' future. New operating systems, and so forth.
And hope you continue your Logos ride ... it's great!
Extra perk: If you purchased features that demand the internet (eg Translate), you keep it .... subscribers don't. How's that?

I may have missed something here. Is this replacing Logos Pro early access?

It is not going to be early access anymore. It is launching on October 17.

So what you're saying is, the glass is half full?

Well, it's been maybe 4+ years since anything 'max-able' (subscription level) was produced. So, one could imagine a glass increasing in volume! Today's research surrounded Mark's narrative sandwiches. Yummy.

Whoops. I've got a meeting on October 17, I guess my brain wanted to bring the happy date forward.

So when I saw this, I have to say I was kinda bummed. I spent money early in the month for Logos Bronze Feature Set after having Starter to take advantage of the Last Chance sale because it would give me a discount on premium subscription. I was waiting to see what the regular prices would be to see if i'd rather just pay full price for the subscription or buy bronze and save on the subscription. I ended up spending the money only to find out the next day that Logos was extending the sale and I felt slightly tricked into buying it on september 6 when i could've waited until the end of this month to make a more informed decision. If Logos was going to extend the sale, why not just publish that up front. I felt like I made a pressured decision. I didn't think much of things after that until I saw this post and see that I spent about $180 to essentially save $2 / mo or worse yet $38 every 2 years. basically, it would take me almost 10 years of my discount for bronze to recoup that. It really took the wind out of my sails on this because I thought that the discount for logos 10 bronze owners would be much more significant than this and I feel like spending the last chance sale money was a poor investment. If I had known these would be the prices, I think I would not have bought the bronze feature set.

Being as you're still within the 30 day return window, you should have no problem returning for a full refund. However, do not forget that as an owner of a Logos 10 feature set, you will receive the Legacy Fallback License, granting you ownership of most non-AI features after two years of subscription. You will not receive this if you return the Bronze feature set.

I have seen that we will receive a 5% discount sitewide. I am in a free month trial currently. Will I see the 5% discount once I have paid for my subscription? Can you show us where that will be indicated, in our checkout page for instance?

I don't believe that has started yet, at least I haven't seen it yet.
I would guess you will see it on the product page under the price. Sometimes Your Price or Dynamic Price is hyperlinked and you can click to see your discount.

It was a last minute decision on Logos's part to extend the sale (there was discussion elsewhere on the forums about this). There were many requests for an extension as people were waiting on pertinent information from Logos to decide how to proceed with the last chance sale. I don't think there was any deliberate trickery.

No need to wait that long! As Michael already mentioned, you have 30 days to return your purchase. If you bought the feature set on Sep 6, you still have time to give Logos back their stuff and get your money back.
