Actually I was way deep in whether Manassah got shipped to Babylon (and return). But in the related Assyrian treaty records was the threat of Arabs (if the treaty was not respected).
So, I went in search of ancient Arab history ... none in Logos I could see. But I did find this volume, and quite good.
- Over 600 pages in its print version.
- Copious imagery, maps, and inscriptions (B/W).
- Contributors per subject area, going back to pre-600bc and then forward.
- Includes detailed discussion of NT usage of 'Arabia' (Pentecost and Paul).
- And cheap! Currently, short of $20, with the paperback $50s, and hardback out of the question.
I actually panned the Amazon Kindle version due to formatting about 5 years ago (forgot!). But now on my MBP, works fine (even zooming in).
This would be a great addition to Logos ... forgot if they do OUP or not.
