My question is most obvious, with almost a month's lead time what do we do until then? Stew? Or since it's Logos, chili? I know bad joke.
Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

I got the email with the code—but the book isn't coming up as free (yes, the code is applied). Is it because I'm not in the US?

My “free” book gets $3.00 off, making it cost $26.99. 🙄🤦♂️

Someone should report it. Faithlife is known for rolling out glitchy coupons.

It would be interesting for those of who haven't decided to go with the subscription model yet to know the quality of the additional free books. What was it this month?

I do not think the free book is part of the new Logos subscription, it is a gift for signing up to hear about the implementation of the new Logos as a subscription service.
This is the book being offered: https://www.logos.com/product/148707/john-verse-by-verse?queryId=ca5be366ba384f9d5b943a9695f3bb5e
I did read that the extra books being offered as part of the subscription were not part of the old classics that are offered under previous subscription but from the main catalogue as the above book is.

I disagree with the reply that claimed to be the most obvious question.
Here's the most obvious question: for those of us in the Pacific time zone, where this live event is at 6:00 AM, will a recording of this be posted somewhere? I'm not setting an alarm just to watch this live.

In the past they have streamed to YouTube and you could watch it later.Thomas Glen Leo said:I disagree with the reply that claimed to be the most obvious question.

I'm confusing 2 separate issues. There's a free book for signing up to the October 21st event, but there's also an additional monthly free book for subscribers. I'd be interested to know what's been additionally offered so far to gauge whether the subscription is worth it based on the quality of free books alone.

Nothing has been offered yet; we won’t see the additional free book until the official launch.

Historically, they have released it the same day/time as the ”announcement” as far as I can recall.

While you're technically correct, I feel it's quite safe to equate the two in this situation. In my mind, there's no way they puff up an announcement like this only to say that something is coming that everybody already knows is coming and then deliver it a week later. Honestly, that would be an hysterically terrible launch plan.

When we used to buy packages, I wished they would do it that way. It would have been easier to budget. I guess now that we know about what a subscription will cost, there would be no need for it.

Forumites may know, but that is a LONG way off from "everybody" Not "everybody" comprehends what you or I know.
remember this thread started by posting something that was sent via email. I see this as Logos seriously trying to increase the flow of information through various channels (website, social media, forums, email, print advertising, etc.) to reach more of the user base before there is a launch day panic.
Others have mentioned the historical "launch day surprise" This release is NOT under the same historic leadership or paradigm. The very fact that forums have been discussing details and interacting with Logos staff about the upcoming subscription details is NOT what happened in the past.

I'm also in the Pacific time zone, so I understand not wanting to be up 6 am. Which is why we will be recording the event. You'll be able to find it on logos.com shortly after the event is over. As Justin presumed, it will also be available to watch on social media.
However, we will be giving a way a lot of free stuff during the event, so I'd encourage you to consider it [;)].0 -

You should receive the email within one day of signing up. If you haven't received it in 24 hours and you've done the obvious things (like checking your junk folder), then reach out and we'll ensure you get your book.0 -
Good stuff Taylor. Unfortunately, I will be a meeting, but will be sure to let the other Pastors know.

Fair enough. The post was a bit exaggerated on my part. Being as they've already committed to offering subscription perks by November 1st, there's a pretty short window for when they could potentially release. But who knows. Guess we'll see.

I like that this is all kicking off before the holidays when there is the expected strain on the wallet. Again, thoughtful.

I too have registered twice (maybe thrice) but don't have a clue as to whether I got the follow-up email or not. I love Logos but man, the number of emails is over the top.
Can someone post the subject line and the content of the email that has the code in it? Or, is that a no-no?
Like others, the John verse-by-verse resource showed as $3 off for me...but maybe I'm just confused.

Not to be greedy for a free book, but still no email from Logos after two days.
Maybe it's a personal setting somewhere?0 -

Perhaps it is as illusory as the 10th Day of the 21st Month.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Yet, by faith I know, come it shall.

I never received my code either. I ended up contacting customer support through the chat and they were able to give it to me.

Thanks. I tried the same and "Shara" successfully helped me. She is great.
