I know FLC is being sunsetted. However, when I paid for my subscription last January, it was in part to take advantage of the 3 free ebooks I could get each month. Because that was part of the agreement, is it really something FL can take away?
For clarification: you paid a year in advance?
Yes, I paid a year in advance.
Lew: Can you add "MARK' to the front of your title?
Based on the terms and conditions you agreed to at the time of your subscription, they can make changes, and they just notify you when it comes up; I guess you could contact customer service and request a pro-rated refund. I think that the 6 public domain ebooks you could download between November and December are probably worth a lot less than the sitewide discount, the increased annual reward, and the expanded mobile ed offerings, but obviously your mileage may vary.https://www.logos.com/terms#18 : "We will do our best to provide notice of any changes to service terms or price at the time of the change."
I understand the frustration and it would be nice if they found some way to let us keep getting our free books for the rest of our subscription. But since they gave me the full feature set for free, I'm not personally feeling cheated.
Indeed, and I'm generally pleased. And honestly, most folks eventually stopped warming up to the ebook perk, but I had a plan that I implemented (grabbing some of the Loeb books in a series each month) with a thought to completing it by year's end.
I just never conceived of changes to terms of service applying to WHAT you get, but rather HOW you get it.
Good idea. Thanks! I just don't like bothering him when so much is on his plate.

Agreed. But I haven't been as organized as you. I got the ones I wanted and than sorted by price after that to maximize my savings in dynamic pricing.
On the other hand, I read in another thread that, among the host of freebies, there'll be a free ebook each month. If that's the case, then I'm good with it.
