Why doesn't Logos give out a free Hebrew old testament, apocrypha in the greek and a septuagint for free. As there are free open sourced books.

Greetings Rebira and welcome to the forums.

I imagine that the answer to your question is that users of Hebrew Old Testament Apocrypha would expect their greek copy to be integrated into the software with appropriate tags, labels and indices. All that takes labour and labour costs money.

I imagine that there are freely available copies online which you could convert into a 'personal book'. How much labour you put into making the result useful for use in Logos would then be a matter for yourself.

As Mike said above, Logos sells books that are integrated into their environment via extensive tagging off morphology, entities, topics, grammatical constructions ... Generally, there is no advantage of having a simple text in Logos. When there is, you can convert a open sourced text from the internet into a personal book within Logos.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
