Hi folks,

I have been a Logos Connect essentials no library subscriber for several years, and have just moved from Early Access Logos Pro to Early Access Logos Max.

I currently own preaching suite essentials and have been considering buying preaching suite premium. With dynamic pricing my current price is showing as $135. For the new resources I would get, that’s seems to be a good deal for me.

My question is, does anyone know if ‘preaching suite’ will go away when subscriptions fully launch in October, do I need to make my decision before then? Also, is the price I’m seeing due to the current sale that ends on 30th September, as that may also factor into how quickly I need to decide?

I did am the rep about preaching suite when I was moving over the Logos Max, but he was unsure if Preaching Suite would be going away or not, but did say, as I already knew, that denominational libraries would be going away initially.

I appreciate any insight that anyone might be able to give, and also any comments from people who have Preaching Suite Premium, and what they find particularly useful from having it.

For context, should it be relevant, I am a minster who preaches every Sunday.

blessings

Duncan

While I doubt that the 'Preaching Suit' package will go away. It might well change beyond recognition.

The received wisdom is that if a package contains resources one needs now then one should buy it now.

All retailers reserve the right to withdraw or alter offers at their whim.

By seeking to save a few pence (cents) one might loose the bargain.

In Mark's post here https://community.logos.com/forums/t/221543.aspx he said:

Later this year, we’ll launch the next version of Logos as a subscription. The subscription will have several tiers and eventually replace Preaching Suite, Faithlife Connect, and other Logos feature sets.

    And in https://community.logos.com/forums/t/224861.aspx he said:

As you probably know, in the fall, we'll launch the next version of Logos as a subscription. We're slowly rolling out the subscription, and more and more customers are now able to get early access to it.

As the full launch gets closer, I wanted to give you a few more updates on what to expect.

First, new libraries will be available for subscribers to purchase.

    • At launch, we'll offer Starter through Collectors, and some great new content will be included in those libraries. As usual, those libraries are discounted at around 90%. Libraries are yours to keep, and dynamic pricing means you won't pay twice if you already own some of the books.

    • We'll also have some new libraries based around specific use cases, similar to the Academic, Preaching Suite, and Counseling libraries we offer with Logos 10. These libraries will align with our three subscription tiers, so there will be one set of libraries aimed at small group leaders, one set aimed at preachers, and one set aimed at those who love the original languages.

So it looks as though the Preaching Suite will be "rolled into" the new subscriptions at some point - but I don't know when.

You are unlikely to ever see a better deal on the books in Preaching Suite Premium than the Encore sale going on for the next two days.
