Why doesn't my reading sync between devices

On kindle, when I start reading a book on my phone, if I then open my ipad or desktop it will ask me. Do I want to turn to the latest page I was reading.

I'm sure this or something similar is meant to happen with Logos but I've found it very frustrating that I can read several chapters on one device and then another seem to have no way of finding where I left off.

Am I missing something?

I have noticed Logos having an inconsistent sync. Sometimes it is on the correct page, sometimes nowhere near...

Kindle and Play Books have no issues with sync across the same devices

Sync does work, but not in the way you expect. When a resource is open, it will always stay put. If you want to always open up to where you left off across all devices, you must close the resource each and every time. Opening the book from the library will open to the position of the last used location across all devices.

This is an issue with how Logos defines "layouts."

I prefer to use the favourites feature. For me it works more consistently than relying on sync.
