Safari vs. built in browser....

I would like to suggest rather than using a built in browser, that you use the actual safari app on the iphone/ipad. The browsing experience is WAY better.

But also, for those of us who use Safe Eyes (www.internetsafety.com) on our computers and iphones, and therefore have Safari blocked for a filtered internet system, you don't open those people up to unfiltered browsing by taking us to your website, which then has links to all over the web where you can get anywhere...

It's amazing that my Bible app is the only place on my iphone which offers unfiltered internet.... Would love to see this feature changed. I understand that it's nice to keep people in the app, but it would be a better experience using Safari.

I think the reason why a lot of apps are forced to use their own built-in browser is because Safari (on the iPad at least) doesn't currently support extensions. So maybe when IOS4.2 comes out in November this might change...here's hoping at least.

I am well on board with you with this statement and would love to see the situation change.

Olivetree is also the same with this meaning that my two bible apps are the ones that allow unfiltered or unmonitored access to the internet.

I would be shocked if that is true. It was not announced and is totally foreign to the way Apple keeps their iOS bult-in apps "protected" from such add-ons. Hope I'm wrong but if I was a betting man ...
