Sermon slides wrong font color?

I have been trying to use the slide feature in the sermon prep... but so far, it is way more work than it should be. I changed the background slide used, and it is a light color. It now opens every time with this slide. When I write a sermon, the text color is always white. I change it, and then try to apply it to every slide, and that simply never works. The following slides do not change. I have to edit every slide. As a result I'm simply not using the slides. I need to submit a bug, because this simply isn't right. It should work, and doesn't.
