Biblia has real potential and I was excited to use in on my Android
(2.1) phone.  Alas non of the browsers (defaullt, dolphin, Opera mini)
see to show the second pane.  What gives, is this expected behavior - is
there a browser on android that functions?

Your help would be great!

It is autosensing that you're using a mobile browser and slicing the screen down to size for your viewing pleasure.

Look near the very bottom of the screen and you'll see that you can click and choose either mobile (one pane) or standard (two panes).

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

It is interesting - I realize that this is how it is supposed to work - the problem is that I only see mobile on the bottom of the window and no matter what I press, nothing changes.  Please try this on an android phone and you will see the same behavior.  I know you have hired android developers, so please ask them about this.

I would love to know how to get this to work.

Sadly I don't have access to an android phone.  [:'(]  Not to be pedantic but are you sure it's not available on the next line?  Ok, Ok.  I said I wasn't being pedantic about it.  It must have something to do with the way Android answers the server when the server inquires what kind of browser is reading the site.   This is definitely one for the programmers.  Hopefully they'll take note of this.

Muwahh ha ha ha!  I have absolute power!  Don't I wish.  But then, if I were hiring developers, I would have hired Blackberry Developers.
But I knew what you meant Joel, Logos has undoubtedly hired a stack of Android devlopers, so I'm sure one of them can test it.

I tested this on my Droid X in the default browser, Opera, and Dolphin and in all cases it allowed me to navigate from the mobile version to the full size version, but not vice versa.  Is that consistent with your experience?

A workaround for this is clearing the cookie data of whatever browser you are using, which will make it revert back to the mobile view.  We'll look into this to determine what's causing this.  Thanks for the information!

On my Samsung Captivate, IF I delete all the cookies, I can see the standard view - BUT IT IS BROKEN.  ONCE Standard is selected, selecting mobile does nothing. (Dolphine and Standard browsers show left pane with the right pane blank! Opera mini - shows the frame both left and right, but no words!)

Thanks for checking on this!  I wish they would just bit the bullet and release an Android App!

With this morning's release you should now be able to switch back to the mobile view from the standard view using the link in the footer.  Thanks again for giving us a heads up on this and definitely let us know if you continue to have issues.  And just so you know, we are aware of the problems mobile browsers have with the standard site (e.g. blank right pane), but at the moment there are quite a few things higher on our priority list.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

i was glad i found this thread. I've been going crazy trying to figure this out. I'm still having the problem that was supposidly fixed. My browser does not allow me to go to a mobile view. In fact it doesn't let me do much at all when I click on links. Guessing an older version was reverted to along the way. sure would be nice to use since my new tablet hates logos 4.

You should once again have the ability to switch between mobile and standard views of Biblia.com.  It is worth noting here that the standard Biblia.com site does not work well on the vast majority of mobile browsers due to the fact that the reading panes use scrollable divs, which cannot be scrolled in most mobile browsers.  The only exception that I am personally aware of is iOS devices, at least some of which allow you to scroll with two fingers.

We are working on bringing more functionality to mobile Biblia, but for the moment if you are looking for slightly more sophisticated mobile functionality I would recommend checking out library.logos.com.

What I'd like to see is a native Android app for Logos like the dreaded iPhone. Biblia.com and Library.logos.com are tedious at best to use efficiently.

In case you weren't aware, they've been working on one for some time: http://www.logos.com/mobile/android

And it looks like they're making progress: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/32251/240553.aspx#240553

you can also go into your settings in your browser and choose how you want your browser to be "seen" to websites...i.e. mobile, desktop, tablet...

Just change the setting to "desktop" and you're good to go.

I am using android 3.1 honeycomb on my tablet, and I can switch between the mobile and standard view, but I cannot type a reference in the standard view and have it go to it.  For instance, I am using the NASB bible.  When I type any book reference like Galatians 5 for instance, it will not actually jump to the reference.  It just starts me at the beginning of the bible.  I can do this from my laptop browser, but not my android device.  Any help?
