What did I do wrong about personal books?
Or what can I do?
new computer started from scratch. (I may have just told myself my problem).....
What can I do to get ALL of my personal books back besides rebuilding them all again.
THEN how do I keep them so this does not happen again.
Frustrated about 400 books/ articles I have made.

Sorry this happened to you. I just reinstalled Logos on a new computer and my personal books came in with the rest of my resources.
Did you choose to upload your personal books? That option presents itself after the book is finished compiling.

did this about a month ago. I do not remember seeing that. I would have accepted it. I just took a blood pressure pill as it was up a few minutes ago. Well just something else to do in retirement. I don't want this to happen again. I am sure I will need to update computers in the future, Lord willing.

Do you still have the old computer? In that case using the scan command should work: https://wiki.logos.com/personal_books#Uploading_and_Deleting_books

Update
If I go back to the older commuter and UPLAOD them they start to show up on the newer computer.
Still better than trying to locate the files etc...

Yes, uploading them is the best way, if that is still possible. But if books are above a certain file size, uploading is not possible. In that case, using the scan command is the only way besides rebuilding from the original.
