Yesterday, mine said "Faithlife Connect Essentials + Logos Pro Early Access" (or something like that). Now it just says "Logos Pro - Annual."

For me, the splash screen is where I noticed the difference. It changed from Logos Max Early Access to Logos Max - Annual. I also had new resources, specifically Logos Media courses, download. No new functionality per se but I am on the beta channel so was not expecting anything new. FYI, I have not yet received an email indicating my migration is complete so not sure on what cadence those will be sent.

Hi Ben! It looks like you're on Logos Pro (early access), so when you get migrated you'll be on a new subscription that will be called simply "Logos Pro - Annual" (dropping the 'early access' label). Aside from the naming, you will also notice that you gain access to subscriber perks, mentioned in the OP. In terms of access to Logos, you shouldn't have any disruption or notice any differences. I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions about this transition.

Hello! Looks like you've been migrated - you had Logos Max (early access) and now you have Logos Max (sans 'early access' label). You should receive an email in the next day or so confirming the completion of your migration. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Anyone on an early access subscription

Anyone on a Connect Essentials or Connect Premiere subscription

Anyone on a Preaching Suite subscription

Then, we will begin transitioning Pro and Premium (early access) subscribers, and then Connect and Preaching Suite will follow. We expect to have most or all of the migrations completed this week. Yesterday, we started migrating early access users and other subscribers to our new Logos subscriptions.

As of today (Thursday 10/10/24) we've nearly completed the planned migrations! If you're not sure if you've been migrated yet, you can check your subscription at https://www.logos.com/account/subscriptions. If you were on early access, you'll notice that your new subscription no longer includes "(early access)" in the name. If you were on Connect or Preaching Suite, you will notice you've now been put on a new Logos subscription. We will be sending out an email tomorrow to all users who have been officially moved to a new subscription, so be on the lookout for that.

If you do still see "(early access)", Connect, or Preaching Suite it just means that your migration is still underway. I anticipate we will be 100% complete within the next 1-2 business days. Don't worry, you won't experience any lapse of access to Logos during this time. You will also get an email once you've been transitioned to the new subscription, so stay tuned!

I have always believed that adding a Subscription Model would be beneficial, my stance is that eliminating the traditional model can and seems to be counter productive with the potential loss of customer business from long time customers. You may be correct in their winning over some who are skeptical, even I was willing to give them a chance to impress me - but that won't happen as I have stated elsewhere as long as I am forced into using the Dynamic Toolbar.... If they added the option of toolbars, I'd possibly still give them the opportunity to impress me as an "olive branch" from a long time customer for at least responding with the LFL... I'm still not ready to continue doing presentations as I had been doing, and may never do it again - depending on how it all shakes out - but I hope they make decisions to allow for not only new customers, but also the customers that kept them in business to feel they are still appreciated.

As to the dynamic toolbar, I'm really close to really liking it. A couple efficiency improvements would do it for me.

I have tried - I think it looks ok and seems to be smooth for a "dynamic" flow - but I just want efficient and consistent workflow. Needing to search for and learn a new flow because a developer decides to relabel, change location and/or add clicks is not a benefit for me personally. Not sure what the reluctance is to keep it as an option, but it seems to have had enough negative that the option route should be revisited.

I'm wondering about Mobile Ed Courses. I have been (very slowly) trying to work through a course on Introduction to Hebrew and had access for 6 months, after which I could renew access for a further 6 months. I was happy to have access to only one course at a time because it was one I wanted to do and that I felt was most suitable for my needs.

Since migrating to Logos Max (previously on early access and Faithlife Connect) I don't seem to be able to access this course at all without paying huge amounts on top of my subscription. Is there any free access to courses under Logos Max? If so, are they available for six months? Can I choose whatever course suits me best?

According to an AI search (which I'm always sceptical about) I should have access to 8 courses per month, but these are chosen by the Logos team. I see two big problems with this. First, the Logos team can't possibly know what I need for personal study. I have no problem with offering suggestions, but I'm not going to spend any time on a course I don't really need, especially when I'm pushed for time already. This makes the offer of 8 courses per month seem disingenuous - 8 courses provided instead of one, but not the ones I need and for 1/6 of the time - a false benefit that will often never be used. Second, one month is not long enough for some to complete a course when there are so many other things calling on our time.

Personally, I would gladly sacrifice access to 8 courses I don't need for the one I do need, even if I had to renew access more often.

To access the courses available I tried going to the Courses section, then selected "All Courses" followed by "Available to me". Is this right? Only six courses appeared, not eight. I can't seem to find an easier way of seeing what's available.

Could having access to one course of our choosing be a possible added benefit for Max subscribers, even if it meant fewer curated courses being available? Would it even be possible for Max subscribers to choose between a fully curated selection or a single personalised option?

Yes, you are correct in stating that Logos Max provides free access to 8 courses.

The free courses will be adjusted quarterly. Thus, we will have access for at least 3 months. It remains to be seen how the courses will be adjusted. It has not been clarified whether all courses will be switched out quarterly or perhaps only some while others remain for an additional quarter. What has been stated is that as courses are switched out, they will be offered for sale at a generous discount.

Can I choose whatever course suits me best?

It has been stated that this possibility is/was/will be discussed. No answer has been provided as of yet. I agree that the ability to choose even just one course would be sweet indeed.

I agree that this is currently confusing. Two possibilities come to mind: 1) Some users may already own the free courses, which results in them not being clearly identifiable as the free-access courses for that quarter, or 2) The perk has as of yet not been fully implemented. I hope that there will be a location online where users can view the current free courses associated with their subscription, or, at the very least, I would expect an email clearly identifying them.

In case it wasn't already clear, migrating from Preaching Suite or Connect to the new subscription means two things:

Gaining the contents and perks of the new subscription.
Losing the contents and perks of the old subscription.

For example, if you're moving to Logos Pro from Connect, you'll lose access to the books that came with your old subscription, but you'll gain access to more books that come with the new subscription. You'll lose the 2% cashback but gain a 5% cashback. You'll lose the three free classic ebooks but gain an additional free book of the month. You'll lose the one or two Mobile Ed courses that you could pick, but you'll gain many more Mobile Ed courses swapped out every few months. Some perks don't have a direct equivalent in the new subscription, including access to Faithlife TV. And some perks are exclusive to the new subscription, such as the 5% discount. While it can sometimes be disappointing to lose something you've enjoyed, we've tried to design the new subscriptions to offer even more value than the old ones.

Thank you for this clarification. Please don't think I'm "getting at" anyone. I'm just trying to work through this issue as a faithful user. I think the vast majority of the new model is excellent, and I am certainly enjoying making use of the new features.

I suppose my point about Mobile Ed access is that the value is only superficial if the curated courses are not needed. Kind of like a clothing company offering free pairs of socks to people who have no feet. It seems like a generous offer on paper, but in practice it can become a significant loss of resources.

With the Max plan focusing on language, each user is at a different stage of development. Will all of these variations of need be catered for.

Finally, the offer of buying a course at a significant reduction in price seems more like a way of getting more money out of something that was free to access before in the long term.

Please clarify. When I go to the link you provided there is no longer Early Access there and on my iPad the same thing. However, on my Laptop when I look in About Logos, it says (Logos Pro: Early Access) and is showing my software version as 36.1.6
Is my laptop migrated too or is it still in process?
Also, I understand we are not yet able to change to 2 year plans. Am I able to still upgrade to Max and get the early access pricing for 1 year or 2 year?

I received the upgrade email this past Friday. I have started Logos many times since then, but it still shows 'early access' on the launch screen. When I check my account, my subscription shows updated as being 'annual' so it seems it is just the app that is behind. Is this something I need to do anything about or should it sort itself out with future updates?

I got my confirmation email on Oct 11th, so at least some of the emails are being sent. Did you check your junk mail folder?

Natalie, Thanks for the information. However, the information has deepened my concerns about a few things. It has been a week since you posted this. When I start up my desktop copy of logos, it still shows I am using the Pro early access version. However, when I look at my subscription under my account, I saw where my Logos NOW was prorated in August. I was given one month free when I was first offered the ability to do the pro subscription. I agreed to keep it, and I was billed every months since. I think the offer was first made in February or March. My account shows I will be charged the annual subscription fee for the Pro subscription starting on October 29th of this year. So on one hand it appears I have migrated over and on the other hand it seems like I have not. I am trying to figure out which is true.

As an added note, I registered for the live announcement of the transition to the new Logos on October 21st on the web site. It says after I registered, I would receive an email within 24 hours giving instructions on how to receive a free book. I registered the same day the announcement appeared on my home page. I never received an email. I have registered twice since then including today which is the last day to register. I have not received the promised email. I know my email work since I receive daily emails from faithlife regarding what in new in my faithlife group. I have checked my spam and nothing is there. I am voicing a few concerns and hope I am not left out on anything. Any words of encouragement from you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
