Updates to the Insights feature in the Mobile App (IOS)
Whilst I can't imagine I will be using then Insights feature on the desktop, I just had a good look at in it the updated (IOS) Mobile App on my iPad. I think it will come in very handy there, where it opens as a side bar rather than pop-ups which you have to open and close after use.
In the Mobile App Insights provides access to guides and tools, as well as showing related notes and highlights. It will let me change characteristics of notes like the icon and icon color without having to go into the notes tool. It will let me edit a a note without opening the note tool, and it will let me add a note without having to leave the resource I am in and go to the notes tool. I hadn't noticed any of this before. It also gives easier access to change the highlight palette. This makes tools and features on the tablet much more accessible and usable.
I can also use it on my phone. If I hold the phone in landscape Insight also opens as a sidebar, but when using notes it still pops up a note which covers the screen. The phone is a small screen and tiny windows of notes would be unusable.
You have to download the new mobile version to take advantage.
